The group is divided into two separate movements. The Senior Scouts for young men, and the Rover Scouts for young women. Though united under one leadership, both sections has positive competition against each other to create a drive for the members to improve their capacity in the arts and knowledge of scouting.

Calinan National High School holds the pride of having a group of scouts that can compete at par in different activities held by the BSP-Davao City Council even against the likes of the scouting movements of Davao City National High School and Daniel R. Aguinaldo National High School (two of the biggest public school in Davao City, Philippines). One notable event is the fancy drill competition held annually during the Council wide jamborette.  It can be said that Calinan National High School is always one of the top contenders.

Engaging in different activities, students who are members of this organization has a complete new fun way of learning outside the four corners of their classroom. This allows them to learn practical knowledge away from the conventional education but still keeping them safe against bad influences that surround teenagers especially in this time and age.
